Was Christ born on December 25?
Christmas. Celebrated the world over and the most popular holiday on planet earth. Santa Claus, presents, Christmas carols, Christmas trees, hot cocoa, and did I say presents? And the wise men. And the Star of Bethlehem. Angels singing and shepherds worshipping. It’s a highly eclectic holiday, unparalleled in its unique combination of pagan imagery and biblical symbolism.
But was Christ really born on December 25?
To this day we do not know for sure when the most influential man in history was born. Sure, we celebrate it on December 25th every year, and our entire calendar is keyed to 1 AD, but it’s all based on a wink and a nod: We kind of know that he wasn’t actually born on that date, but who cares? Skeptics certainly don’t (even though we can all agree we love to get presents), and even Christians aren’t convinced the date really matters. It just matters that he was born.
An Epic Expedition
But now the key to unlocking the actual date of Christ’s birth has been discovered, and it’s been sitting in our Bibles all along, which makes the date more meaningful than anything we have ever attached to December 25th. I know you may be skeptical, but this is not a typical Christmas book that seeks to give you warm fuzzies. Nor is this a typical book about the next “star” theory.
