Description

It is widely known that the date of the birth of Christ was not on December 25, 1 AD. However, historians have not presented an alternative historical date with any confidence. Indeed, some believe there is no definitive historical evidence at all that will point us to it. I disagree. In “500 Year Journey” I make the case that God has told us exactly when Jesus would be born.

God pointed to the date of the birth of Christ in the Old and New Testaments.

In Leviticus 23, God revealed the exact month and day his Son would be born, and the apostle John’s vision in Revelation confirms that date.

God guided the events of history toward the date of the birth of his Son.

In Daniel, God told us exactly how many years it would be before the birth of the Messiah, and the historical record bears that date out. Nebuchadnezzar, Cyrus the Great, Daniel, Ezra, Nehemiah, Caesar Augustus, and king Herod, all play a role in identifying exactly when Christ was born.

God put the stars in motion from the beginning of creation to proclaim Christ’s birth.

The magi knew the Messiah had been born because they understood Daniel’s prophecies. In other words, they understood the sign they saw because they understood God’s plan. However, when they showed up in Jerusalem none of the leaders knew Jesus had been born. Why not? Because they were focused on religiosity and politics, not God’s word.

God has also scattered many other clues and typologies throughout his Word to point us to the exact date, and it is magnificent! He implemented his plan at exactly the right time, so join me on this journey which leads to God’s love.

Don’t miss the miracle!
